So I love the look of the Grove airfoil gear but they are only for the taildragger 8. I'm planning an 8A build and I'm looking for a comparable product for the 8A. Any ideas?

I don't believe there is any. You won't be disappointed with the stock
landing gear legs. I'll bet there are a few -8 drivers that would prefer
a slightly more forgiving gear (similiar to what is on the -6 and -7). You
don't hear the -7 guys complaining of toe out and in

I spoke to Grove at Sun-in-Fun this year, and the reply was we can do almost anything, but it may be very costly. I agree with Mr. Tom on this one. If you do a good job on both the upper and lower intersection fairings you will have a very clean gear leg from top to bottom. And yes they do have a little smoother ride when on the ground. I don't think you will be taxing all day just to check out the ride though. Yours as always R.E.A. III #80888
