My darling wife sewed a set of dustcovers for my -7, which work very well and are quick and easy to fit.
The wing covers are giant socks and the fuse cover has a pocket into which you stick both elevators and then tie the front under the engine.

PS. MT Prop is away for cosmetic repairs.

$1/yard

George,
First Mate, I've got to tell you, I can't take credit for this as it was Edita's work.
She scours the shops for bargains.
The material is very light nylon. You can see through it.
She bought 30yds. for a $1/yd. Expect to pay around $5/yd
As it was 4' wide she sewed two lengths side by side to get 8' for the fuse. You can see the join at the top.
The wings use three lengths sewn to together to make a 'sock'. I borrowed the sock idea form my gliding club. Got to keep those sailplane wings immaculate cause of the low Reynolds nos.
The really neat bit was where she sewed it to make a sort of 'pillow case' around the elevators. See arrows in pic below.
Cheers Mate.
Pete.

I bought a surplus parachute for covering the plane when hangared in a dusty situation. I don't have a picture, but I believe it is a 30' canopy.

Next time your wife buys new bed sheets, grab the old ones. They work great.
