I'm considering getting involved in IAC aerobatics.
My RV8 has a M20 air/oil separator. I do not intend to go to a full inverted oil system. In addition to the M20, there is also the ASA/Anti Splat separator. Bigger, more expensive systems manufactured by Raven or Christen also are available.
One of our RV pilots heavily involved in aerobatics (whose only experience was with the Raven and Christen systems) questioned whether the smaller separators could handle the volume of oil vented during aerobatics.
Are any of you using the M20 or ASA systems involved in aerobatics? Have you found them adequate?
