how did you finished your FAB after the trimming, cutting, off-setting, process ?

Alu parts with alodine or primer or nothing ?

Fiberglass box (internal and external) ?

I added no finish

I added no finish to the aluminum nor the fiberglass. It is turning into a modest maintenance item so it is good to have everything in an easy to work on state.

I,ve repaired several of these. When I get to that part on my 10 I'm going to proseal between the glass bowl and the rim. Also, I'm going to resin and paint the bowl. Over time, oil and fuel get into the coarse glass and go gross on you. Lastly, I'm going to use outside strips to sandwich the bowl at the rivet line. Vibration makes the little rivets shake loose in the glass. It's a neat airbox but kinda cheesy.
