Buy the plans
I recommend buying the plans USB key (FD PLANS RV-8/8A) if you have not already. Armed with that information, you will have a complete list of parts required to build it. Then, I would call Van's, explain what you want to do, and see if they have bundled these parts. If not, just order the parts you want.
