During pre-flight today observed what I thought at first was a scratch, but looking closer appears to be a crack in the right aileron rod end along its longitudinal axis. Anyone seen this before? There is a similar but smaller one on the other left aileron. Certainly not a typical failure mode that I know of. Thoughts appreciated. About 50 hours total flight time on an rV-8a.
