I cut the A712 the length the drawings show and placed the AN970-3 washer on the bolt but there is still some slop; about 3/32" or so between the spacer and washer. The prints show this a tight fit. Should I add another washer or cut another tube a little longer? Anyone else have this problem?

If you're just a little short, you can easily add a thin washer - they make pefect shims for getting the fit just right. You can drive yourself nuts making spacers if you want to get them exactly right without shims.

Looks like another AN970 would be about right but this is the 7/8" OD one; will a smaller OD one like a AN960 work?
