I have a quick question concerning the rivet clearance between the outboard aileron bracket and outboard rib. It doesn't appear as if I am going to have the clearance required to set a rivet. Did I miss a step and not trim down the outboard rib? If I rivet it properly (shop head on thicker material) the factory head won't sit flush (it has a little overhang on the rib's trailing edge flange). Is it acceptable to trim the factory head a little so the rivet sits flush, or could I rivet it from the other direction (Think a shop head might just fit...but with little clearance)? Or do I need to drill it all out and trim the flange? How did others out there cope with this?
Thanks,
Brandon
