I've seen it mentioned a few times about fuselage oil canning "issues".

I'm getting close to joining the center section to the aft fuselage. Now would be a good time for me to add some stiffners in the aft fuselage if they are needed.

I saw on Dan Checkoways site that he added some stiffners and then added more later.

I'd like to know what the "issues" are. Is it an annoying popping sound?
Or just that others in formation keep telling you that you've got some oil canning going on.

I have one panel on my RV-7's belly that pushes in a bit in flight. When I'm flaring to land I hear it pop out. It's subtle but I can hear it.
