All of the AF-5000 EFIS sysems have the hardware to support Can Bus and now with a simple software update they will work with the new Rotax 912iS engine. With no extra boxes to purchase, mount, power and wire it is extremely simple to install. All you need to do is connect the 912iS Lane A and B wires to the EFIS DB-15 connector and you are ready to go!
We had the first plane fly over the weekend with an AF-5600 and the Rotax 912iS and it is working great.
The same interface will also work with the new Diemech Turbine being installed in a RV-10, look for it at Sun-N-Fun.
