In another thread Mike Howard stated that he has a goal of flying his RV to the last few of the lower 48 states (all there were when I was a boy) and Paul Rosales and his wife have also flown to Alaska giving them 49 states visited in their RV-6A. Flying to places you have never been before is an adventure that at first can be a little intimidating. Would it be a little motivational if there was a database with voluntary inputs from all VAF members that recorded all the states, countries, provinces, etc. visited by them in their RV? It seems to me that the positive effects of such a record would be many? Perhaps even group fly-ins to designated points of interest.

Good Thought

Maybe my motivational needs are different but I think this get at the basic motivation for the individual pilot rather than an interesting places kind of information source. This would give every individual pilot recognition for significant travel in their RVs. Just a thought.
