When running dual slick 4371 impulse coupling mags with an Aircraft Spruce starter switch, what would you have to do to make both mags hot in the start position?
Here is the ACS diagram:

Seems to me that the switch instruction assume starting on the left mag only.
No mention of how to wire for two impulse mags.

Just don't install the jumper at position one (in the drawing you linked too)

What it should say is "Use when only left mag. is......

Removed the jumper

Sure enough, the jumper was installed. So the plane had two impulse coupled mags, but was starting on the left mag only. Of course, that was the older mag.
Starts better already.
I wonder how many other experimental planes are wired the same way?

Not very many since most experimentals do not install 2 impulse coupled mags.
