IAC Chapter 25 (Houston) will be sponsoring a ?Two Design? Contest

Two types of aircraft: Decathlons/Citabrias or RV?s

Date; Saturday May 17th.

Time: Pilot briefing 10:00am

Location: Giddings, Texas (KGYB)

Categories: Primary, RV Primary & Sportsman

Set up/ Practice: 10am Saturday 5/10

Special: IAC and Chapter 25 membership sponsorship will be provided for first time competitors.

This contest is designed to encourage RV pilots and other first time pilots to come and experience IAC aerobatic competition first hand. If you know of any RV pilots that might be interested please invited them to come or contact Lynne for more information
 
This is really cool, and something that I'm surprised hasn't gotten more attention, and found more favor in the IAC. There was even an article in Sport Aerobatics about RV participation.

Have you given any thought to putting on a clinic/workshop kind of thing in conjunction with the contest and giving the attendee's opportunity to get in front of the IAC judges to earn smooth awards? I know a lot of pilots are apprehensive about the competition thing, but they may participate in a more informal/non-competitive event where awards were earned basically pass/fail...

But I could be tempted...Nothing like getting yer butt kicked in public..:)

Hey, it's supposed to be fun and it will be. Known Sportsman will be flown as well as RV primary - no spins. Safety pilots will be available if you would like someone to sit in. Good idea about the smooth patches; we're not using boundary judges, so it should be easy.

Could there be some time afterward for BFM?
