When I installed my main wheelpants, I had in mind to leave the trailing edges a little high to be sure I would never hit them during a flare. Well, I overdid it, and they are quite high. They don't look particularly bad, but I am worried that they are creating drag and reducing my airspeed. I am not at the airport now, so can't give specific dimensions, but I would say the back edge of the each main wheelpant is approx. 1 1/2" higher than in the plans.

I would appreciate some thoughts about if that might affect airspeed and by how much?

Thanks in advance.

Due to the shape of the wheel pants, I doubt very seriously that vertical alignment will create enough drag that you would ever notice. Horizontal misalignment will create considerable drag.
