Ok -8 guys.... Anyone have their plans handy for a reference to the flap brace? I am building a -4, and was just curious how similar the flap brace is on the -8. I bought a 2nd hand wing kit in 2010, and ordered a lot of parts for it last year that were missing from it. I could have sworn that I bought aileron gap seals, AND flap braces, but after a review of the order form, and alas, the crate, I have no flap braces. I am either going to fab some, or order them next week. If any of you have the dimensions handy for the -8 flap braces, I'd like to know what they are. The -4 is 57" long, .040, and is trimmed to step up on the rear spar reinforcement on the inboard end. If the -8's are the same, I might order them to benefit from the prepunch.

I just measured mine (-8) for you.

Overall length 54 7/8"
Thickness .040
Length of brace where attached to reinforcement bar 3 5/8"

Keep in mind that the flap brace is going to be prepunched for a -8. I don't know if the prepunch holes will cause you any difficulty.
