I acquired a 7A project without a static system installed. Where do I find the location of the static ports?

both sides of fuselage just ahead of horizontal stab. they are pop rivets with the center pin removed. This is how they are done on the plans.

Easiest thing to do is to install Van's static port kit.

If you order that kit it will contain instructions for locating the static ports. I believe the later kits actually have a pre-punched pilot hole to locate the static ports (I'm sure someone here can confirm/deny that). My kit did not have that hole if I remember correctly.

Van's...

Basic pop rivet system works great. The location has been moved once in the past 18 years per the newer plans, easy... cost effective method for sure. I've had zero problems with mine.
