Can anyone provide me with the measurement (in inches) of the diameter of a #6 countersink on the main wing spar? Mine are .3 so far, and my test skin with the #6 dimple doesn't quite fit into the countersink. The problem is if I go much further with the countersink I will be at the beginning of the radiused edge of the spar.

Thanks guys.

Antony,

There's also an article in the RVator a few issues back about this very question.

If you can't find it, let me know and I'll copy/fax it to you.

thanks

Thanks guys. Dave a copy of that article would be great if you don't mind sending it to me. Would you prefer to scan and email it or fax it?

I have seen this rivet coutersunk diameter requirement somewhere before, but I always wonder how do you measure it down to +/- 0.001 inch? What measuring tool do you use?

I used calibers. Since the countersink is round (presumably), orientation doesn't matter because you're always measuring the diameter.
