Well, Garmin can't hold a monopoly forever!
That thing looks pretty neat, but I wonder if it can display more than the Nexrad. I probably use the METAR data as much (or more!) than I use the Nexrad on my 396. This weekend's trip was a good example - I had IFR conditions on the way to Fort Worth, and MVFR on the way back, but there was never any precip to show....just low ceilings and visibilities, so I was constantly checking to see what was going on.
But if they can sell that for $500, and they have to double the price to add the rest of the weather data, they'll still be half the price of a 396.....
