Does anyone know if there is a way to check the rs232 output from the 496 without having the antennas connected. The antennas are currently installed in my Pacer and I tried the 496 in the RV in simulation mode but the dynon efis just displays "waiting for GPS fix". All the other systems are checked out and working and I would like to make sure the 496 is communicating with the dynon and the A/P before I rivet the forward top skin in place.
I have not checked the frequency upload to the sl30 yet (need to read the manual) but I guess that could validate the 232 wiring as the outputs are all daisy chained together.
Any thoughts welcomed:D
 
A --- Do you still have the flip up antenna sitting around somewhere?

B --- If not, you can borrow one of my antenna's, unless someone comes up with the antenna-less solution.
