Hi.
An avionic specialist installed for me all the avionics.
Provided that the ARINC converter from Dynon is not available yet, I do not have a CDI.
I imagine that meanwhile I would have heard the VOR audio signal, when selected form the audio panel.
Or at least I would have seen some "trace" on my 430 that a VOR signal exists (my hangar is 800 mt. from a VOR station).
I cannot see any VOR signal. Is this normal, provided that I do not still have an indicator, or I missed something?
Thanks.

Camillo,

Some questions...
Is your GPS working okay? The GPS shares power with the Nav functions and should let you know that the Nav circuit is getting power.

How about the internal CDI...does it provide any VOR indication?

If you have power but no signal/CDI indication, check the antenna cable from the Nav antenna.

So, it does have an internal CDI...
That's the bad news. I am missing something or simply I should read the pilot manual...

Yes, the Dynon sees the GPS signal. And the VOR antenna is working (at least, it is not in short).

I will check tomorrow.
Thanks.

Update.

Unfortunately, VOR is not workin.
Internal CDI is blank. No data.
Coaxial is OK. Antenna is OK. I tried changing it and connecting to COM and it works.
I read quickly the installation manual, and it seems no setup ise necessary for 430 to display VOR input on internal CDI.
No Ident audio, too.
I am 1 mile from a VOR and my DME receives it quite good.

What am I missing? I need to close my skin and cannot do this with such problem...

Thanks.

Edit: solved. It was the RF. Inside the hangar signal was not enough for the 430. I moved the airplane outside and it worked.
