430W antennas ... Questions ... What did you do?

I'm installing a Garmin 430W. I'm planning to install the Bob Archer wingtip antenna. I have the strobe light power supplies mounted in the wingtips.

1. Does the Archer antenna provide glideslope?
2. Will the strobe light power supplies affect the antenna performance?
3. How will do the marker beacon antennas made from a piece of coax cable work?
4. If you had to do it again would you install the wingtip or external VOR antenna?
5. It looks cheaper to install two Archer antennas-one in each wingtip-than buy the Comat 507 splitter.

1. Need a splitter Nav-GS-Radio or Nav-GS-Radio-Radio if you have two Navs.

2. It might

3. I don't know, but Dan C. Has one and likes it.

4. I have not flown yet.

5. It is cheaper, marginally. Add in the cost or routing another coax and it is a wash.

430W ant

1. need a splitter to route ant to both vor and gs connector

2. maybe, mine does not

3. great, no problem

4. yes, I would again install wing tip vor/GS and marker beacon antennna, I have 360 hours on a RV7a

5. I did not even consider using two vor antennas, I guess weight of coax would be my issue to that option.
