I sent an e-mail to Vans for an official ruling but I would like to get your thoughts. This is the email I sent:

When I drilled for the 4 nutplates on the F-802E RIGHT SIDE FOREWARD GEARBOX ANGLE I machine c-sunk the angle and riveted the nut plates to the angle directly. The instructions says to rivet through the F-802A bulkhead too (I missed that part of the instructions until after I riveted the whole E angle to the right 802A). I don't wnat to have to drill out every rivet in this angle so if thes 8 AN426AD3 rivets are structurally critical, could I just add 8 nas1097's in between the AD3 and AD4 rivets? The spacing would be .4" center of extra rivet to edge of existing rivets. I would prefer not to add any if that is acceptable too?

Just in case anyone cares, I received a reply from Van's and it doesn't matter if the AN426AD3's go through the 802A
