Can anyone tell me how long the -4 is from the firewall to the tail post, basiclly the length it would be with no rudder and no engine mount cowl etc. Im trying to figure the best trailer to use to transport a project.I also could use the wing length minus the FG tip but including the spar stub? Thanks for any Help Dan Weseman

Firewall - Vertical stab rear spar = 14Ft
Wing - total length not including the tip = 11.5ft (to inboard end of front spar)

I used a 14 ft uhaul truck. Got the one with the mom's attic. Put the tail above the truck cab (in the mom's attic). Put the wings on the other side. You will have enough space. I also sold a RV-4 and the guy used a 14ft uhaul to take it home. Good luck!
