Do any of you have experiance with 3M? Fire Barrier Caulk CP 25 WB+?

A friend who is building a Murphy Supper Rebel recommended it but I can't find any reference to in the homebuilding forums I have checked.

"Up to 4 hours Fire Protection." sounds good to me.

Good Morning Bill. I don't know if I'll be in my RV 4 hours even if it's not on fire.... :D

Bill,

There's no information on what temperature it can withstand. This product appears to be for housing construction. We've seen this discussion before on products that you could buy from Home Depot/Lowes, and they do not meet the 2000 degree requirement for an aircraft.

Why don't you contact 3M and find out what it's specs are, and let us know.

Tracy.

Glasair uses this product. Excellent .It also expands in a fire to offer better sealing of joints/holes.

I paid $30 for a tube . You dispense it with a standard silicone gun dispenser.
