Based on my current progress, I will need to order the finish kit soon, and the FWF. Do any of you that have used an IO-390 have any advice on which FWF kit to get and what to add/remove? Any thing else I should consider?

I know its a front gov. mount and uses a Dyna 1 mount.

Bart,

You will need to order the FWF kit for the IO-360 A1B6. This is the angle head 200 HP. I don't know what exactly to extract and add but you will need the cowl for the foward induction (unless you use James) and the longer governor cable. There may be more than this. I also think there are different cable mountingbrackets for this engine, but not sure.

Allen built my engine, and he's right the govener cable supplied was to short. We built a couple brackets ourselves, and modified the govenor arm. Will have to modifiy the lower cowl a little for the 4 in1 exhaust.It's a tight fit but will work just fine, also adding a double flow oil cooler.Home is 3GV East KC airport.
