Hi brainstrust,
On page 25-02 we are riveting the mid fuse bulkhead lower channel to the left and right side channels and their doublers. The doublers extend above the lower channel with a couple of lines of rivets.
Step 4 calls to rivet the side channels and the doublers to the lower channel. It does not specifically state to rivet the 2 lines of rivets which connect the doublers to the side channels only (I.e. above the lower channel). These however have rivet callouts on 25-02.
So I assumed these were supposed to be riveted now, but wanted to check I was not missing something? They would be hard to drill out later.
I can’t find any reference to these rivets on any other sections of the build manual.
As a side note, these rivets would he hard to set once the side channels were riveted to the lower channel, so I have done them first. I also placed the manufactured head forward as these will be seen from the cockpit (the instructions call for the doubler rivets to have the manufactured head aft - but I am not sure why).
