Hi RVers

I am busy wrapping up all the FWF stuff and noticed that the clearance between the #1 CHT probe and exhaust system is less than 1/8" :eek:

I have the following setup:

Lycoming YIO-360-M1B
Vetterman Exhaust
Electronics International P-101 bayonet type CHT Probe

Below is a front view of the problem:

Has anyone else had this problem?
How did you resolve it?

I see that Electronics International has a P-100 Screw-in CHT Probe.
Anyone know what the length of this probe is from the cylinder head to the end of the spring?

My suggestion would be to put a "clamp on type" short heat shield on the exhaust in that location. While the EGT would rest against the heat shield, it would protect it from the heat which is the main objective.
