We've got an early model 0-235 C2C which has the solid (mechanical) lifters.
The parts book we have is for later 0-235's, and it only lists the hydraulic lifter part number's. What we need is a part number for solid lifters.

My PC-302 parts catalog lists the solid tappets as 71105 "Body, Tappet"

This is listed as "ON ALL" models of the O-235. including the C2C according to my book (1982 vintage)

I thought all the O-235s had non-hydraulic tappets. You have to set the valve lash at the rocker arms.

That's the part number we have Dave, but when we placed our order with Air Power, their list of what they were supplying came back with "Hydraulic Tappet" for that part number???

It looks like "hydraulic" on the parts list we got from Airpower was a typo or something, as Airpower have assured us that part is a "solid" tappet.

Thats what I thought - it would be cool to have hydraulic lifters though. I don't like adjusting them.
