Got a “AFCS Communication Error” when I powered up my G5/GMC 307 combination today. Cycled the power, got the same messsage. After I shut down for refueling, and started the airplane up again, I got no no error message and the autopilot then worked fine.
Any ideas re: what caused this? Is this perhaps the problem that has caused Garmin to do the five-year servo swap program?
