Default Sky Dynamics Flywheel

Guys,
Every once in awhile in my Aircraft Consulting business (R2 Aviation LLC) I get to do a pre-buy on a very cool airplane. My dream kit-plane was always the Giles 202. When I built my RV4 it was a compromise as the Giles was out of my price league.
Well this weekend I finally got to not only inspect, but fly a G-202. I wasn't disappointed! Thanks to the owner Scott Francis, I was treated to yanking and banking by myself and him demonstrating part of his amazing airshow routine. The roll rate exceeds the F16, G-onset nearly identical. Simply put, I want one!

Anyway, he had a Sky-Dynamics exhaust and magnesium flywheel installed, a very nice product. With a B&C accessory case alternator installed, it made for a very clean package and a light nose airplane. For you guys looking to save weight on a heavy nose airplane (IO-360 Angle Valve out front) This could really help. Highly recommended!

So you are the one sent by the Australian to test the Giles huh???.....I am the one that might be moving it to KLAL for dissasembly.....I own Giles 202 Primal Fear....check the 1999 January edition on Sports Aviation. http://www.eaa.org/homebuilders/kitplans/gilesg200.asp

Primal fear paint is showing its age...I cant keep up with it and have decided to paint at the end of the 2013 season. Primal Fear will be reincarnated under the vision of Mirco Percorari but I doubt it will ever resemble the original.....

If you like the Giles....grab one! ....they are all leaving the US and most are ending up in the South Pacific. You cant beat the performance, the speed, the fuel performance, operating cost and yes....that wicked roll!

My IO-360-A1A is equipped with the Sky Dynamics Maxi Sump/cold air induction, B&C SD-8, a lightened Lycoming flywheel, B&C starter and an MT CS prop. All this was in an effort to reduce the weight of the angle valve engine for the nose of the RV-4, it worked out very well putting the CG in about the best compromise. I didn?t build the airplane so I can?t take credit for it, Lee put a lot of thought and effort into installing this engine in an effort to increasing performance with ought sacrificing handling.
