Default Longview Texas info?

Well my bucking partner is heading to college in a couple of weeks. He will be attending LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas. Do any of you Texas folks know what is available as far as flying clubs/training in that area? Luke is not planning on doing the aviation program at LeTourneau but is about 25 hours into his PPL and may want to work on it while there. I've searched the web and not found to much info.

Any comments will be welcome. You never know, if you're building and live in the immediate area, a home cooked meal might get a good experienced bucker for an evening.

We may have sticker shock on rental rates in the Texas area as we are used to very reasonable rates at the club we fly out of.

Thanks,

Longview has a great airport, click on the following link:

http://www.airnav.com/airport/KGGG

I know they have several flight schools, etc., on the field that aren't listed on the AirNav website. I would recommend calling the FBO and asking for help locating them.

Have you tried AOPA's online airport directory?

Good Luck,
