Bruce, great intro into the world of wrapping instead of painting.
Thanks.

Curious as the 3M 1080 Controltac seems to only come in white but the 3M Scotchprint Series 1080 has the colors you mentioned? Just wanted to verify...thanks. And, who was your supplier for the 3M wrap and the Avery Chrome? Thanks.

Very Cool!
Thanks for the write-up and the pictures. I am a long way from painting my bird, but it's good to see an alternative option to paint. Looks great!

I think I found a remedy for that problem.
(OK so Tony Spicer really found it, but what's so bad about copying Tony?!)

Edge termination
Bruce -
Your project (incredible!) has inspired me to look at "repainting" my 13 yr old -8 using a wrap. Watching many, many YouTube videos on the process (there are dozens of good ones out there), I came away with a pretty clear understanding of the process.
But there's one detail that cars generally don't have to deal with and that's wrapping the unbent sharp edge of sheet metal. Example - the trailing edge of the wing (ahead of the ailerons & flaps), empennage cut outs for hinges, etc. Did you just trim the wrap flush with the edge to terminate?
Guessing you could just trim flush and seal.
Appreciate you sharing your work with us!

Great Job!
Did you end the wrap at the leading edge to the wing? The bottom wrapped and top polished?
Regards,
Scott
