Default RV-7 & CA-25 Winjeel Photo Flight

With Phase 1 recently completed I took my father (ex-RAAF & Airline career pilot) as the first pax in my aircraft. A close friend flew his CA-25 Winjeel (ex-RAAF basic trainer with P&W radial) as a photo platform over the waters to the south of Perth Western Australia. The results were close to perfect as was the flight and the smiles afterwards.

It still amazes me that you can build an aircraft as fantastic as these in your own garage and have this much fun.

For those that still have not had enough, below is a link to some video that the photographer put togther.

Enjoy and keep pounding those rivets.

Congrats on completing Phase 1, and what a great day you chose to get those shots. Nothing beats our coastline on a clear sunny day :-)

Thanks CJ. The paint scheme was shamelessly copied (with permission) and slightly modified from a poster here on VAF. I am very happy with how it turned out and wouldn't change a thing.

Well, with that being said... May i copy but vary it as well?

I am planning on totally covering the cowling and canopy with the red and running it along the entire leading edge.

Yah, something like that...

But the black pencil will be more of a silver paint.

Wilco!

Yah, the plan is to keep the 774 top skin off while I do the avionics and paint the white part.

Then, comes the red and silver stripe.

Should be fairly simple.
