vasi transmitter/receiver

Hello. I live on a strip that has the white over red vasi light system. It most likely was not bought from a company, rather constructed. It did operate with keying the mic, to get the lights to come up. I'm unsure what happened to this unit, whatever it was that was used to receive this signal, to operate. Can someone tell me the correct name for this device? I've googled and no dice.
