Default lost & found department

OK, here's a weird one. Does anyone know of someone who might have lost an RV-x rudder just north of Jackson MS recently?

A friend found what appears to be either a -6 or -4 rudder (it's a close match in size/construction to the one on my -4) on the side of the road on Highway 49 N near Pocahontas MS. It's red, there's no fiberglas with it, and it has aluminum or stainless tape in several locations near the hinge (front) end. There are no fittings screwed into the hinge locations. If it's yours, or you know the owner, drop me a line at mcsophie@gmail.com.

Sounds like a poorly secured road shipment...

Reminds me of the RV-10 main wheel pant I found in the ditch along I-35...

Default Canopy Cover

I saw a canopy cover in a friends shop and asked him why he had it. He said he was driving down a rural road and something floating out of the sky caught his eye. He retrived it and it turned out to be from a PA 28. Lesson learned; always remove canopy cover before flying.

Darn, I knew I was forgetting something. *That* must be why I have such a hard time staying in position in formation. :P

It sucks when you lose a rudder.
