Default Repairing a G-Meter

Hello Folks:

I've got a G-Meter with stuck "Min/Max" hands. It works fine in the momentary mode. In other words - it properly indicates the current loading state. However, I can't reset the hands that show the historical peak loads.

Does anybody have any experience opening these things or trying to fix them? Any idea of where I might be able to send it?

Thanks in advance,

Default

Several years ago I rebuilt one using fishing line instead of the old rope that was inside. They are very simple, open it up and dive in.

Default G meter

I rebuild mine with braided fishing line also ( not monofilament ). Had to do it twice , remember to set it static at 1 g not 0 .
