Default RV-7 engine

I think I'd like a factory O-360A1A but with 1 LSI crank-mount in place of 1 mag. Don't think I can order it that way through Van's, so I guess I can get the factory engine and do the mod myself or find someone who will provide the engine the way I want it. Does anyone know a good supplier of new engines with custom mods the way you want it?

When I went through this exercise, I called around to all the "usual suspects" but no one could match the price on Van's OEM deal with Lycoming. Especially during the airshow season -- there's often an additional discount. One even told me so in that many words.

If this is the only change from stock that you require, you'll be many dollars ahead to take the Van's deal, peddle the magneto and harness, and install an electronic ignition yourself.
