Default ELT reset/display???

I bought by ELT back in the dinasaur age and am going to upgrade but wondering if the new ones still have the same reset/display fixture as the older Ameri-King displays....

Mounting these entirely necessary????

I don't really have a space except on the main panel and I don't like the options!!

Thanks for any help you can give!!

I can't speak to whether the cockpit control is the same between new and old; but yes, mounting is entirely necessary. You must have a means to manually activate/reset the ELT from the cockpit.
