Default How thick should it be?

I am building my filter air box. I need a carb heat flapper door. The plans call for me to make one. VA-130-H.

I can't find where it says what thickness of stock to use. I am leaning towards .040, but am kind of tempted to use .062.

Anybody know "the right way" to do this?

Thanks

Default Will check plans

I built that section, but I don't recall the specs (given that I manufactured the @$*#! door 4 times, I should...)

I'll check plans at the airport tomorrow and report back

I think the original might have been .032, .040 should be more than enough. I would suggest using the mil spec hinge, most of the problems are due to hinges wearing out.
