Default Dimmer module suggestions?

I have a Flight Data Systems LC-40e on my RV-10. It stopped working about a year after first flight, so I need to replace it. Those of you with more experience, did I probably just get a bad one, or or should look into a different product?

Thanks...

Default warrantee?

Did you give them a call about replacement? They have been great to work with, and they might stand behind it.
