Default RV-10 averaged 203.31 MPH in AVC

Several months ago there was a pilot report that indicated the RV-10 was relatively slow and hinted that the speed advertized was optimistic. Well in the AirVenture Cup race there was a head wind for the first 280 nautical miles. 203.31 mph is an awesome performance. Any thoughts on why the sedan was so fast? Nothing was obvious to me in outward appearance.
