Default Alton Bay B18 - Preparing to open . . .

Cold weather in NE has helped the ice freeze this week. Message on Seaplane base manager's phone dated today says they have 11" of ice and he will be preparing runway tomorrow for possible opening on Sunday. Boy I'd love to get there this winter . . .

Check out info on here, also telephone number to check for updates.

Default Landing on the ice today...

A friend of mine and I flew over Alton Bay a few hours ago and watched a Cessna landed on the ice there. Lots of shacks on the ice too.
