Default Sunset formation flight of a Cub with two RV-8s

RV-8 builder/pilot John Fleurent sent me the following video and photo.

Very cool pic and video. If my memory serves me, didn't you used to work for Honeywell? I think we chatted about that MANY years ago....

That is awesome. The wings really show the pitch differences with the Cub giving it all he has and the RV's, nose high, dragging along.

Well said Turbo "only in Spruce Creek". Yesterday right after I have flown with a 9A builder I saw seven Cubs taxied out. I drove to the Big Tree Park and watched them take off. Six went up formation and one stayed doing TnGs. Soon a lot of neighbors came over and enjoyed the beautiful sunset and the impromptu airshow. Added bonus is a Sopwith Camel doing fly-bys. We also get to rate the student doing TnGs in the Cub. While watching Cubs coming for overhead break John mentioned about his formation with a Cub, thus this thread. Life is good either watching or flying a airplane!
