Shop project ideas?

After reading the thread on the spark plug holder ideas, it struck me that small projects like this would be great for EAA meeting programs. I came up with a couple of other ideas, such as wheel chocks from either PVC or aluminum angles, and tie down spikes as shown in a recent kit panes article, but I am wondering if you guys have any other ideas for smaller projects, for either tools, flying stuff or shop fixtures, that can be made in about an hour or less. Some prefabrication work is ok.
Always trying to keep meetings interesting and maybe teach a few new skills to the new guys!
