All Silica Gel/Dessicant for Engine Plugs the Same?

I couldn't complain too much because she was preparing to feed me when she turned the heat up on the oven while I was drying my dessicant plugs. It ruined the blue crystal things because they're now black.

Anyone know if there's something special about the stuff that comes in the plugs below.



Or can I substitute another kind of silica gel like this kind that I already have on hand?

It is all the same. The blue type simply has a cobalt compound in it as an indicator of moisture content.

I refill mine with the exact stuff you have pictured. Works just fine.
