Default Where to pick up manifold pressure ?

The Vans MP gauge says to pick up the pressure off of the #3 Cylinder; however, I have a primer line located on that port. Is there any reason why I can't or shouldn't take the manifold pressure off of the #1 Cylinder instead ? It is a lot more work to re-pipe the primer and the hose that came with the Vans PM instalation kit seems the perfect length to come off of #1.

Any of the like ports will work; cylinder doesn't matter. Use a restrictor type fitting.

If you have a primer then you have a carb. So, you can also use the injector port.
