Default Anyone use this adhesive?

DOW CORNING? 730 Solvent Resistant Adhesive/Sealant, sold @ Aircraft Spruce. Was thinking about using it for Naca Scoop - Cabin Air Intake bonding?

Thanks
Mike

Paintable is the big question here.

Roughen both mating surfaces with 100 grit or so, clean with 91% isopropyl, bond with proseal. Fill any gaps with proseal. Sand then prime. My big eyeball vents are supported by NACA ducts and holding up good.

Try to keep any silicone based sealants away from your plane before paint.

Default Proseal...

Mike:

I have some out of date Proseal I just used for my vents that worked GREAT! I keep it in the refrigerator.

If you want enough to do the job, I'm at KWHP.
You can also see how it looks!
