Talking Spark Pluge & Wires (RV-6)

What are the best spark plugs and wires for an O320 (160 hp) with magnetos?

Default O-320 plugs

Not sure they're the best, but I've mostly used REM-40E's (Champion) and have been happy with them. I might try Tempest UREM-40E's next just to save some bucks.

I have Skytronic Aero-lite harnesses (plug wires) that are over 10 years old.
When I sent the mags & harness in to Aircraft Magneto Service for the 500 hour inspection/rebuild, the harness came back yet again, tested, inspected and returned to service.
I would call that satisfactory.

See Mike Busch's Webinar on Spark Plugs. You'll learn all about them, construction, maintenance, cleaning and checking. I think you will see why he recommends Tempest because of a ldocumented reliability record with long ,ean time between failure of the Tempest plugs.
