Lightbulb Has anyone tried adding vortex generators to the cowl exit air?

Has anyone tried adding vortex generators to the cowl exit air?

The hope is to help the exit air get out of the lower cowl and clean it up alittle, maybe lower CHT's?

Thinking is good but you never know for sure until you try. Do you want your CHTs lower? My recent experience is if everything else is unmodified and the CHTs come down - so will the speed. But that's not all bad. Then you can do something to cut down the air mass flow, increase the CHTs to an acceptable level and increase the speed. Tell me how it works out.
