Default Filing a claim against a shipper

Just wanted to offer a suggestion to those who may incur shipping damage.
I filed a claim against FedEx Freight recently for damage to my Fuse kit. Nothing big, some damage to seat pans, bottom skin, I was able to repair all. But during the negotiation of settlement I asked about a discount on future shipments. I was offered 50% off the future freight charge. Van's gets a 65% discount from most companies. Wasn't sure if FedEx would offer the 50 on top of that, but they did. So the bill for my finish kit was very reasonable..Just remember to be creative.
